    Come enjoy our Nature Studies
Students, parents, and teachers across Japan
say that this is, absolutely, the best and most
educational program they have ever joined!

Evening Programs - educational and fun!
    A. YOUR CAMP WEEK - Camp is held only one week each summer on my own private 13-acre estate located in Nevada County, California - statistically the lowest crime county of California's 58! The camp is, conveniently, just 2 miles from a charming Victorian Village and shopping area and an excellent medical facility.

    CAMPERS

    • sleep in tents on American-style futon. (...but there are always some each year who prefer to sleep in the open air under a vast canopy of stars.)
    • have hot-water outside showers in an enclosed privacy compound and use of our "onsen" (Jacuzzi Spa) in the evenings.
    • have use of the washer and dryer in the main building for laundry.
    • receive 3 "Special Menu" meals daily.
    • are constantly supervised by my highly experienced bi-lingual staff. Medical personnel live in camp and are available 24-hours a day.

Participants are required to keep a Study Binder for the full 21 days of the program. This exercise challenges them to think independently and explore new ideas and cultural differences more closely. "The Binder," as we call it, is then taken back home to parents in Japan so they, too, can live this unique international experience.

We grow our own organic vegetables!

    B. YOUR HOMESTAY - Host Families are thoroughly screened by me, personally. Every prospective host home is visited and checked for cleanliness and happiness! Program participants are assigned to the homes I approve; I do this based on ages, hobbies, interests, and personal goals. Please note: It is against my policy to place a visitor in a host home where there is a family member of the opposite sex and same age. Girls will be connected with American girls, boys with boys. (Of course there are sometimes younger or older brothers or sisters in the host home).

Members in our Homestay environment learn about our cultural similarities - and differences. Everyone has a good time!

    C. EDUCATIONAL SIGHTSEEING - After completing the Homestay, we travel to San Francisco for specialized sightseeing. Our time together culminates in a formal Dinner-Dance Cruise on beautiful San Francisco Bay. This well-loved event gives members a rare opportunity to practice correct American Social Etiquette and enjoy, literally, "an evening of a lifetime." Afterwards, The Closing Ceremony is held and members are congratulated with a Certificate of Completion from my educational non-profit association.

    Day 5 - Friday, 23 July
    "MACHIDA INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR DAY"

This day of teaching cross-culturally is dedicated, with enormous respect, to Mr. Eisaku Machida and his late wife, Myochi-san, in appreciation of the great education they have given me throughout the life of my work in Japan.

It is greatly through their respective examples of a love for mankind and the unselfish leadership they have offered others that I have learned the value of teaching and caring for the peoples of the world. Through them, as well, I have gained a clear understanding of the dynamic power of the human spirit!

I know I can never repay Mr. and Mrs. Machida for the lessons I have learned; I can only pass them on to you. Please remember, as I and others teach you today about our cultural differences, that you, too, have a responsibility in life to pass your knowledge on to others. In doing so, we will all learn to become not just good citizens of Japan and America, but RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS OF THE WORLD! May our joint efforts in this regard serve to smoothly pave yet another important mile in mankind's great pathway to peace!
